Cluster: Group of Artisans and MSEs (Micro & Small Enterprises) with in 10km - 15km. radius producing same category of products and facing common problems and threats.

Cluster Development Programme:

So far, 149 clusters have been identified under the state cluster development programme. Out of which diagnostic study has been conducted of 40 clusters.

Cluster development activities such as formation of SHG’s (Self Help Groups), skill upgradation, design development, technical trainings, exposure visits, marketing assistance like participation in exhibitions and fairs, Buyer- Seller meets, website creation, development of brochures and pamphlets etc. have been already conducted in 31 clusters through various NGO’s (Non-Governmental Organizations).

During 2005-06, cluster development activities were started in Kota Doria Cluster (Kaithoon, Kota), Leather Products & Leather Tanning Cluster (Bansoor, Alwar), Dyeing and Printing Cluster (Akola, Chittorgarh), Handloom Cluster (Dariba, Churu) and Murti-Kala Cluster (Gola-ka-bas, Alwar).

During 2006-07, cluster development activities were started in Leather Juti Cluster Bheenmal (Jalore), Jaisalmer Stone Cluster (Jaisalmer), GotaLoom Cluster (Ajmer), Aari-Tari Cluster (Nayala, Jaipur), Murtikala Cluster (Gola ka bas, Alwar), Tye & Dye Cluster (Jodhpur), Glass Embroidary Cluster (Dhanau, Barmer), Honey Cluster (Bharatpur), Pottery & Terra-Cotta Cluster (Ramgarh, Alwar) and Terra-Cotta Cluster (Molela, Rajasmand).

During 2007-08 cluster development activities were started in Carpet Cluster (Thanagazi, Alwar), Lakh Cluster Jaipur, Stone Artware Cluster (Dungarpur), Stone Cluster (Pindwara, Sirohi), Terra-Cotta Cluster Siyawa (Sirohi), Leather Products Cluster (Jodhpur), Embroidary Cluster (Shiv, Barmer), Wood Craft Cluster (Bassi, Chittorgarh), Embroidary Cluster (Poogal-Aduri, Bikaner), Forest Products Cluster (Baran), and Talchhapar (Churu).

During 2008-09 cluster development activities have been started in Auto Component Cluster (Alwar), Handloom Cluster (Rajpura - Patalwas, Jaipur), BrassWare Carving Cluster (Balahedi, Dausa), Marble Cluster (Chittoli, Jaipur), Sand-Stone Cluster (Pichupada, Dausa).

During 2009-10 cluster development activites have been started in Handblock Printing Cluster (Bagru) and Terracota Cluster Gogunda- Rishabhdev (Udaipur).
